About EIMC
Who We Are
We are God’s people, called by Christ to share the Gospel, plant churches, serve the needy, and transform lives through His love, Word, and Spirit. Obeying Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19–20 to make disciples of all nations, we are committed to spreading salvation and hope throughout the world. We establish communities of believers who worship God, grow in faith, and live according to the teachings of Christ. Through prayer, fellowship, and service, we reflect God’s character. Guided by His Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we strengthen disciples, raise leaders, and advance God’s Kingdom on earth with grace and faithfulness.
Our History
In 2005, Pastor Philip Chhetri founded Glorious Church Ministries, together with co-founders Pastors Dev K. Chhetri, Dhan B. Lama, and Uttam K. Chhetri, as a church-planting and orphan care ministry in Nepal. The ministry was strengthened through the faithful support of Harold Waterfield, Rev. Ian Smart, Paul Harris, and Graham Blair from the United Kingdom. Their consistent prayers and partnership played a vital role in establishing churches and caring for orphaned children, thereby extending God’s love, compassion, and hope. By God’s grace, churches were established in major cities, including Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Hetauda, and the ministry experienced significant growth and impact.
During a visit to Seattle in 2006, God placed a vision in Pastor Chhetri’s heart to expand the ministry to Seattle and beyond, with a focus on discipling nations through the Gospel. This vision was fulfilled in 2014 when Pastor Chhetri, his wife Elu Thapa, their daughter Philu, and Pastor Jit Lama, a dedicated servant of God with experience in church planting and teaching in Nepal, established a church in North Seattle, Washington. Together, they laid a strong foundation for a Christ-centered ministry committed to fulfilling the Great Commission.
