Family Ministry

EICM emphasizes the importance of nurturing faith within the family unit ministry. In Deuteronomy 6:6-7, God instructs, “These words…shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children.” This highlights parents’ vital role in instilling faith, values, and Scripture in the hearts of their children through daily life.

Strong families build strong churches and communities. Family ministry supports parents as they model Christian love, integrity, and service, following the call to “love one another deeply” (1 Peter 4:8). In Ephesians 6:4, Paul encourages fathers to “bring [children] up in the training and instruction of the Lord,” underscoring that family is a place where discipleship begins.

Marriage should be respected as a sacred covenant. Hebrews 13:4 states, “Let marriage be held in honor among all,” emphasizing its sanctity. In Ephesians 5:25, husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives are to respect their husbands, showing mutual commitment and reverence.

Jesus valued family relationships, as seen when He welcomed children, saying, “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14). By prioritizing family ministry, churches help build a solid foundation for faith that impacts generations.
